Crystalplex quantum dots are used to create unique "photonic barcodes" in plastics and laminates. They are extremely bright and can be detected in concentrations well below 50 PPM. Crystalplex quantum dots are compatible with almost all thermoplastic, thermoset and solvent-cast polymers. They are stable in extrusion, injection molding, heat lamination and fiber spinning processes.
TriLite™ QDs can be formulated in inks and paints for security and anti-counterfeiting applications. Multiple TriLite™ QDs can be combined to create unique fluorescent spectral barcodes that identify any object or document upon illumination. TriLite™ QD inks may be applied via conventional screen, flexographic, offset, gravure, and ink jet printing processes. TriLite™ QD paints are designed to be sprayed onto any surface.
